The Good Innocent Times

Remember those days when a girl and guy would shower together as kids and not worry about anything, no shame in their body, no insecurities, nothing. Just two kids laughing in the bathtub, splashing water and having a good jolly time. Then growing up, boys saw girls as “yucky people with cooties” and girls saw boys as “gross boys that play with bugs” but still, it was fun and innocent, boys would chase after girls with their “bugs” and the girls would chase after the boys with “cooties.” Laughter filled the air, as the boys and girls had their fun. Then we grow up some more, both boys and girls start to feel more and more insecure as certain people become “out of their league.” And then, all of a sudden from the innocent times as small children, we enter the stage of sexual activity and such. (I’m not saying sex is a bad thing, just the way people talk about it, and the rumors that start from people having sex usually refer to it as bad) Rumors fly and spread like wildfire as people whisper so and so slept with so and so, or she fucked him, or he showered with her. And people get shunned and their reputations get tarnished. I guess what I’m trying to get at is, what happened to those old times, when a girls kiss, or a boys kiss was a gesture of love, that people found to be cute? What happened to the past, when a girl and boy could have a sleep over, or shower together without people spreading rumors? How about we all just try and revert back, or at least try to live in the past of the innocence we once all shared and enjoyed so much.
